The Municipality of Inari was established on June 25, 1876, and will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2026. The anniversary celebrations will begin already in late 2025 and continue throughout the year 2026.

The Anniversary year will be marked by a diverse range of events across the different villages of Inari, offering something for all age groups. The celebrations are being organized collaboratively by the municipality, businesses, and various communities. The intention is that some of the anniversary events will become lasting traditions. The Municipality of Inari is coordinating the anniversary events and supporting event organizers in various ways.

Apply to Have Your Product Included in Inari’s 150th Anniversary Year
Join us in celebrating the anniversary – bring your own products to the 150th anniversary year!
In 2026, the Municipality of Inari will celebrate its 150th anniversary. We now invite local creators and entrepreneurs to take part by offering their own products for the anniversary year!
The products will be featured in the official product catalog on the anniversary website. Your products will gain visibility through the anniversary marketing campaign, and your business will benefit from the brand connection with the Municipality of Inari and its anniversary.
Approved products will have the right to use the anniversary logo, which can be featured on the product and in its marketing.
What Kind of Products Are We Looking For?
Your product can be:
- a completely new item, food product, menu, or accommodation package created especially for the anniversary year
- an existing product that you wish to brand with the anniversary look (for example, by adding the anniversary logo to the label or packaging)
Selection Criteria
Products will be selected through an application form. We are looking for products that reflect the spirit of Inari, fit the overall concept of the anniversary year, and align with the values of the anniversary and the Municipality of Inari: local identity, community, courage, and responsibility.
In particular, we emphasize:
- Locality and domestic production: products that convey Inari’s identity and are made in the region, or at least in Finland
- Environmental friendliness and sustainability: responsibly produced products that are designed to last
- Practical items that encourage responsible living
Sales and Profits
Marketing and sales of the products are the responsibility of the creator, and all profits remain with the creator.
Anniversary Products
Anniversary products will be available to everyone. They serve as timeless, high-quality, and durable memories of Inari’s 150th anniversary. We hope the products are suitable for everyday use, promote responsibility, and are long-lasting in both design and materials.

- Log in to the asiointi.inari.fi service. Logging in requires strong identification.
- From the service groups menu, select Inari 150th Anniversary.
Submit Your Event or Idea for the Anniversary Year
We are looking for contributors to the anniversary year – residents, associations, and businesses! You can submit your own event to the Tapahtumien Lappi event calendar or leave your idea for the anniversary year using the form below.
Submit Your Event to the Tapahtumien Lappi Calendar
All events for the anniversary year will be displayed on the Events website through an embed from the Tapahtumien Lappi calendar. Below are instructions on how to submit your event for the anniversary year:
- Submit your event to the Tapahtumien Lappi calendar. Creating a user account is required.
- Fill in the necessary information and make sure your event takes place within the municipality of Inari
- Publish the event. Your event will appear in both the Tapahtumien Lappi and the Municipality of Inari event calendars by the next business day at the latest.
- By selecting Inari150 as the theme of your event, you can have it included in the official anniversary calendar
- Your event will be visible in the anniversary calendar by the next business day at the latest.
- Send images related to your event to the anniversary year coordinator so you can receive marketing materials with the anniversary year’s visual identity and logo.
